Dad tells how he feels about some of these photographs:

"I find some of these pictures hard viewing. Epecially those of Tara in the weeks leading up to surgery, and in particularly the images of her at her sister's birthday party, the day before theatre. You can clearly see that she was very unwell - the photo of grandma having to hold Tara up so that she could show off her new dress makes me weep - what she must have been going through! I find it really hard to think back to my trying to encourage her to walk at the time - it turned out that the tumor was in the balance area of the brain, and it was the cause of her not being able to walk. And yet she always tried! What courage! Equally difficult to see are the photographs of Tara immediately after surgery.

But how quickly Tara's fortunes changed! The snaps of her continued recovery also make me weep, but this time with joy."
